Brassworks Dinner Dance

BRASSWORKS Returns to ANGELICA’S BISTRO on Friday, July 25th! Hosts Peter and Angelica Cuschieris invite you to their family owned restaurant and antique store in downtown Redwood City for a special evening of delicious cuisine, great music and dancing to The Brassworks! We will be making our second appearance at Angelica’s Bistro, entertaining for dinner and dancing from 7:30 until 10:00 PM. The restaurant is open for dinner from 5:00 to 10:00 PM. $15 cover charge includes a free Brassworks CD with each reservation! Call (650) 365-3226 to reserve over the phone with your credit card. The Heat of Summer Ball

BRASSWORKS plays The HEAT OF SUMMER BALL in OAKLAND on July 26th: Dress up, dress down, go Victorian, Fantasy or casual - just make sure you get to our next big Friday Night Waltz event at Oakland Veterans Hall! The Brassworks Band will perform for The Heat of Summer Waltz Ball on Saturday night, July 26th. We will perform our warmest Waltzes, our wildest Polkas, and our hottest Latin and Swing numbers, to keep the Summer heat going late into the night. Dance classes are held at 7:00 and 8:00, and The Brassworks Band plays from 9:00 until Midnight. Admission is just $13 (just $8 for students with I.D.) for the entire evening. The location is Oakland’s fabulous Veterans Hall Ballroom, A.K.A. Lake Merritt Dance Center, 200 Grand Avenue at Harrison, at the tip of Lake Merritt. Backyard Dance & Potluck Party

BRASSWORKS Backyard Dance & Potluck Party on August 10th... Party Hostess Elizabeth Bechtold opens Lizzy’s Landing, her home on the Alameda Lagoon, to all of our friends and their guests to come and relax, have fun, take a paddleboat ride, dance to, eat and chat with the members of The Brassworks Band. The party is on Sunday, August 10th, from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. Informal dancing is followed by a vegetarian potluck at 6:00. Everyone is encouraged to bring snacks & drinks (soft drinks, beer, wine, etc.) and/or a vegetarian entree. Your homemade dish entitles you to $5 off admission! From 2:00 to 5:30 The Brassworks plays for dancing. Before and after, dance to Lizzy’s Wurlitzer Jukebox. Enjoy the beautiful gardens, spacious redwood decks, and sprung-floor dance pavilion. Please wear only non-marking shoes on the indoor dance floor! We’re asking for a voluntary donation of $20 per person or $30 per couple. Donations of any amount are appreciated to help pay for the band! Families are welcome, and ages 12 & under attend FREE. No one will be turned away for lack of funds or food. Please reply to this email so we can get a idea of how many to expect. If you decide to come at the last minute, that’s OK - just drop in! You’ll be very welcome. We encourage everyone to contribute food or drink to share. Then we’ll all have plenty. Lizzy’s Landing is at 633 Glenwood Isle in Alameda (just off Otis Drive, one block north of Willow, between Park St. on the south and Grand St. on the north). It’s the house with the blue roof at the end of the cul de sac on the left. Street parking is free. Just walk around the left side of the house to the backyard.
